Experience our Training on the iPad
The iPad is revolutionizing the way people access and interact with media. Video training is therefore a natural fit for people who want their training on the go or on a separate device from their main system. Because of the limited storage capacities of the iPad, we have labored to keep the movie sizes as small as possible while maintaining our high standards of image and sound quality. And perhaps best of all, you don't need to be connected to the internet to watch our tutorials on your iPad.
Tutorial Delivered Through iTunes
We realize you may have a question or two, so we created a short FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page to answer them.
Training Series 1 - Getting Started in Motion 5
Getting Started in Motion 5 is our flagship Motion 5 tutorial that sets the groundwork for learning how to create compelling motion graphics and animations.
Training Series 2 - Rigging & Publishing for Final Cut Pro X
Rigging & Publishing for Final Cut Pro X will teach you how to rig your motion graphics to a single control such as a checkbox, pop-up menu or slider (called widgets). You'll then learn how to publish your titles, transitions, effects and generators for Final Cut Pro X users. With these powerful publishing and rigging tools under your command, you can be more than a motion graphics designer, you can become a motion graphics developer.
Training Series 3 - Mastering the Camera in Motion 5
Mastering the Camera in Motion 5 will put you in the director's chair as you set up and deconstruct complex 3D projects, then frame, sweep, dolly and otherwise create fluid camera movement through your scenes. You'll even learn how to control the camera's angle of view and focal plane to create cinematic depth of field effects.
Training Series 4 - Mastering Shapes, Paint Strokes & Masks in Motion 5
Shapes, Paint Strokes and Masks are the building blocks of engaging motion graphics. Shapes are "primitives" from which Paint Strokes and Masks can be created. Mastering Shapes, Paint Strokes and Masks in Motion 5 will teach you how to create and animate paint stroke effects; mask a moving subject and then track it; morph one shape into another; animate shapes using an audio parameter behavior and much more!
Training Series 5 - Mastering Replicators in Motion 5
Replicators are Motion's secret weapon. With them, you can instantly create patterns of repeating graphic elements such as text, logos, photos, vector artwork and even video that would typically require tedious duplication and repositioning of elements in the Canvas. When used in conjunction with Motion's powerful Sequence Replicator Behavior, you can "choreograph" the parameters of your replicated elements (scale, position, rotation and opacity) to create dramatic arrays of cascading imagery.
Training Series 6 - Mastering Particles in Motion 5
Particle Systems are commonly used in motion graphics, visual effects and gaming environments to simulate smoke, fire, snow, explosions, dust and fog to name just a few. Mastering Particles in Motion 5 focuses on building fundamental skills for generating, modifying and animating Particle Emitters to create amazing visual effects and motion graphics.
