SAVING A 'COLLECTED' SOUNDTRACK PROJECT
Learn how to save your Soundtrack projects so they will open on another Mac with all your sound loops intact.
When you've finished building your musical score in SoundTrack you will most likely want to save your work. SoundTrack gives you an additional option when saving that will allow you to copy just the loops and files the project is referencing. This is an important feature because it ensures that all the files and loops will stay with the project if you plan on moving it to another Mac (or perhaps handing it off to someone else).
1. Here's a typical SoundTrack timeline. To save a collected project, just choose "save" or "save as" from the file menu.
![]() 2. The resulting Save Dialog will present you with two check boxes - Collect Audio Files and Collect Video files. In this example, I want both audio and video to be collected.
![]() 3. Expand the Save window and create a unique folder to save the collected files into. Here, I'm saving the folder to the desktop.
![]() 4. After saving you will notice after opening the folder, that all your sound loops, and video files have been copied into your folder nice and neatly.
![]() 5. The next time you save, your project will automatically save to the collected version.
