CREATING SCROLLING TITLES IN FINAL CUT PROCreating Scrolling Text "Gutters" in Final Cut Pro A Gutter is used in end title scrolls to create a separate text columns. In this QuickTip, I’ll show you give your text some space. 1. Select the Text Generator drop-down menu on the Viewer.
2. Choose > Text > Scrolling Text. 3. Select the Controls Tab in the Viewer. 4. In the Text field type your text for the left aligned text, in this case I have typed Ripple Training 5. Type an asterisk (*) directly after the text (no spaces).
6. Type text for right aligned text, in this example I typed Steve Martin. Your result should look something like this. The asterisk divides the text evenly.
To create more space between the text (or widen the gutter) just drag the gap width slider in the controls tab of the Viewer.
Tips for better looking scrolls.
