USING THE SEASON'S GREETINGS TEMPLATE IN FINAL CUT PRO X

Using the RT Seaon's Greetings Template in Final Cut Pro X
By Steve Martin & Mark Spencer

Create cheer this season with our new holiday-themed Final Cut Pro X template.  With over 60 published parameters, you can create custom title opens, interstitials or even an email greeting card to send to your friends and family.

You can download the RT Season's Greeting Template by clicking this link

In the Generators Browser, select the Custom category, then locate the RT Season's Greetings template.  Drag the template into any Final Cut Pro X Timeline, or use the keyboard shortcuts, E (Append), W (Insert), or D (Overwrite).  All the elements have been pre-animated including the snowfall.

With the Template clip selected in the Timeline, press Command-4 to reveal the Inspector window. The parameter controls appear under the Generator tab of the Inspector.

The top third of the Generator Inspector allows you to assign either a photo or video clip to the picture frame Drop Zone from your Event Library. You have control over the image placement within the picture frame as well as the picture frame itself (position, scale and rotation).

The middle third of the Generator Inspector allows you toggle on or off various holiday trappings - Christmas tree branches, ornaments, bows, holly, presents and Dreidels.  You can also control their scale and position.

The lower third of the Generator Inspector allows you to control the template background by toggling on or off a snowdrift, frost and/or a gradient.

This template allows you to come up with many variations using the above controls.  Below are just a few samples we came up with.  Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah - Enjoy!
