Is there a way in Resolve 12.5 to apply and track a power window to a talking head sitting in front of a window that will even out exposure throughout an interview – a bit like a Hard Limiter for Audio in FCPX.

EG: As the clouds outside move across the sky the light on the face (although nicely diffused) gets darker and lighter. So is there a way to have the exposure get limited to certain level?  If it’s dark it gets lighter up to a pre-determined level.

Thank you

Unfortunately, I don’t know of an easy way to make that happen in Resolve 12.5. The only think I can think of is key-framing exposure adjustments. That being said Resolve 14 Studio has a new effect called the color stabilizer which will make exposure adjustments. You can’t set a hard limit with it per se, but it tries to match exposure to a user defined reference frame. I haven’t had a chance to put it through it’s paces yet, but it shows a lot of promise.
