I often forget to switch back from Proxy editing mode before sending to Compressor.

Videos always come out looking the same as if I had switched.

If this step really necessary?

Thanks

in my case I’m exporting in 4k resolution for a 360VR video. when I switch back to original/optimal I get in my export “green frames”, so there is trouble in rendering such files.
And when I export from proxy I get a video with a lower quality. Its visible!
So what should I do in this case? How to solve the issue with green frames?

If you don’t switch back, you are exporting the low quality, low resolution proxy footage instead of your original material, so yes, it matters quite a bit.

Thanks Mark – I’m surprised there isn’t a window/dialogue that appears to alert you that you’re exporting low res footage. Do you think this would be a good feature request?
