Shapes in Motion are the building blocks of engaging motion graphics. In this tutorial, you will use them for a number of creative purposes, including paint strokes, masks and motion paths that can be used for creating stylized write-on effects.
Bring Characters to Life
Shapes are the primitives by which almost anything can be created in Motion. In this tutorial, you’ll use shapes as replicator source elements; use them for title backgrounds, and also use them to create the facial features of an animated character.
Animate Along a Path
Shapes are so versatile they can even be used as a path for your animations. You’ll learn how to apply a custom shape to your path, then a couple of key Motion behaviors to control the speed and direction of your shape along its path of travel.
Move Shapes to the Beat
Because shapes are created from points, they can easily be animated using keyframes and behaviors. We’ll show you how to use an audio parameter behavior and any song to move your shape object to the beat.
