Creating Custom Camera Archives in Final Cut Pro

In this episode, Steve shows you how to create a custom camera archive. This allows you to add or delete media, while still retaining the ability to make range selections and use the “Restore from Camera Archive” feature.

Hi, Ive followed all the instructions here but create archive remains greyed out when I select the folder that was created. I am on FCP X 10.3.4.
Has anything changed in the updates? Is it still working as described in the video for others?

  Same thing here. Some times FCPX creates the required .plist file when it creates the archive, but most of the times it doesn’t. Completely unreliable.
