Importing and Organizing in DaVinci Resolve 12.5

In Importing and Organizing you’ll learn how to setup Resolve to get the best system performance, use the Media Page for importing and organizing your clips using Resolve’s powerful metadata tools and how to perform quick color grades on your clips before cutting them into the timeline.

Editing and Effects in DaVinci Resolve 12.5

In Editing and Effects you’ll start with an empty timeline, assemble a sequence in the Edit Page, then uses Resolve’s many and varied trimming tools to quickly shape your story. You’ll learn how to create effects in both the Edit Page and the Color Page including superimpositions, compositing effects, and speed effects before moving on to working with audio and sharing your work in the Deliver Page.

Intro to Color Grading in DaVinci Resolve 12.5

In Intro to Color Grading you’ll begin by learning how to adjust your image’s contrast and color, then put your knowledge to work to balance a scene from a short film. You’ll also learn more intensive color grading techniques including how to work with multiple nodes, how to use the custom curves, and how to use 3D Keyer to isolate areas of the image for specific adjustments.

As an Online Editor for the past 20 years, I have found it time consuming to constantly sit and figure out how to use the latest software or improvements on said software.
The RT courses on DaVinci Resolve 12.5 and 14 have been a tremendous help. Alexis teaches in a straight forward and coherent manner that facilitates quick learning on my part.
For what you get, the price is really most reasonable.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these courses to anyone interested in learning how to really use DaVinci Resolve 12.5 and 14.

I was hesitant to buy the 12.5 training, knowing that 14 Studio is coming out and I wanted to wait for 14 training. But needed to learn Davinchi 12.5 NOW. I knew nothing of Resolve 0, nada, zipo. I was thoroughly blessed by The Hurk-Meister as We affectionately call him in our little studio. He is a great communicator, worth every penny. Great Pace + Thorough. I currently confidently edit in Adobe/Vegas Pro/ Edius, but, I now feel confident to take on a project in Davinchi. Would recommend this training absolutely!

Alexis always does a first-class job on his tutorials. Each and every feature, knob, button, and read-out is explained to the Nth degree, and he’s hip enough to put the control in context and explain why it’s useful and potential ways to use it later on. Look no further when you need an expanded explanation of the manual. Highly recommended for both neophytes and experienced Resolve users.

I’ve only just started with the training bundle, but so far I think it’s spot on. It seems to me that Davinci Resolve is poised to take over the video/film editing business with its “one single software program” approach. With the inclusion of Fusion 8 it offers a complete solution for the post editing community. that FCX, Avid and Premiere will have a hard time competing with.

This a great course, particularly because it is accessible to a novice. When teaching the use of a complex and advanced program, the instruction is clear, simple, well organized, and (mot important) memorable. I highly recommend it.

I am about 70% through my first pass with the material in the DaVinci Resolve 12.5 Core Training Bundle, up to lesson 7 in the Intro to Color Grading in Resolve 12.5. The lesson material and your website are very well organized and user friendly. I find it easy to go back to previous lessons and review fine points. Alexis Van Hurkman does an outstanding job presenting the material – a complement coming from an individual who taught filmmaking in college full and part time for 25 years (me of course :-). I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to come up to speed quickly with DaVinci Resolve 12.5.
