FCPX Lock Layer

I know how to toggle visibility of an item using the V key But is there a way to 'lock' the layer Avoiding application of markers, keyframes and any type of 'clip selection'? Thanks in advance

Scenario = 1080p Project I’m wondering if reframing 4K footage inside a 1080 multicam, produces the same result as reframing 4K footage inside a 4K multicam. As in the 1st instance there’s no ‘UpRes’...

Create Multicams at project size or footage size?

Thinking about reframing 4K clips in a 1080 timeline, Is it best practice to make multicams at 4K or 1080?

Meaning if 'Background Render' is disabled in preferences before sending to Compressor. Often I close the Library the Project is sent from, so I'm thinking the rendering must be taking place in Compressor.

Yes, as mentioned, we're using the MOV option on the 5D4 and it seems to 'activate' more data in the Wide Gamut HDR colorspace in FCPX even though the recording is not HDR. Maybe useful info for others.

Using 1080p and 4K clips with Multicam feature in FCPX

Inside your multicam (assuming its 1080) select the Angle with the 4K and set Spatial Conform to Fit to see the whole 4K. Then you can scale up/down to suit.
