Hello everyone,

I am working a project where I want to show a series of photos/video in a standard Picture in Picture.  I am having trouble panning (or Ken Burns) the images without the PiP resizing. I would rather not keyframe the crop size.  It seems a dubious way to solve it.  I am open to suggestions that would be long-term, since I doing a series of these videos. I would consider purchasing a plug-in with this feature.

Thank you

Jason

Hi Jason, could you post the steps to your process so I could try to re-create the problem?

I did a test where a stacked two clips in the timeline, reduced the scale of the top clip for a rough Picture in Picture, and then applied a Ken Burns Effect without trouble. The Picture in Pictured stayed the same size.

Dear RippleEditor1
Sorry for the delay. I was working on a big project and just abandoned this challenge for the moment. I understand your solution. However, I was trying to crop a picture to make it either square or vertical PIP and then try a “Ken Burns” effect. Of course, it tries to make it 16:9. If I want to keep it square, I guess I need to play a game of changing the position and crop unless you can think of something more elegant. Thank you again. Jason
