I fell in love with DaVinci back in 2014 but then it was something I thought I wouldn’t do because I’m a content director and was very happy until I had to seat at post production for a TV show I was doing and man.. Damn I have no words, I bought the lessons and I love the simple fact that the instructor cares, the way he articulates and shares knowledge is amazing…I’m getting ready to be certified, thanks for all you have done.
    Keep it up.

I have had Resolve since Version 9 as part of my BMCC purchase and have always been in awe of what it is and can do while also really intimidated by it. So I never really dove into it to get a thorough basic learning experience that would serve as the foundation to improved proficiency. This course finally did it. The instructor, Spencer, is an expert and knows his stuff – there is no doubt about that. But for me what sets Spencer apart for the many people and course I have tried before is that he is a very good teacher. He speaks at a perfect pace and tone while giving you all the relevant details, tips and tricks without beating you over the head with heavy information or trying to wow you with his resume. I really enjoyed this course because of Spencer and because of that enjoyment I can finally say, with confidence, that I have a strong foundation in DaVinci Resolve and will start doing all of my work in it going forward. There is a ton to learn with Color and Fairlight but this course has me well on my way – confident and ready to move onto more intermediate level work and beyond.

I highly recommend this course for not only those, like me, who are beginners that find themselves scared of this powerful yet very intuitive tool but also for intermediate level users who need a better refresher or something to reference from time to time. This was an excellent investment and I am a very satisfied and happy customer. Thank you, Ripple, and thank you, Spencer.

I’m enjoying the course enormously. It’s clearly presented and very well-constructed, moving and building logically from one topic to the next. I’m learning a lot, fast. The media clips provided are extremely useful, allowing me to follow along and duplicate exactly what the instructor is demonstrating. I find that invaluable.

My only criticism is that the Fairlight section needs to be more thorough. It’s an enormously important part of the software, and deserves in depth coverage.

Huge bonus… the presenter is well-spoken and easy to understand – no “um” “er” “uh” and insanely distracting lip-smacking. This is a pet peeve for me – I’ve had to abandon tutorials in some other programs because the presenter peppered every sentence with these inane fillers. Thanks, guys, I’m a fan

Thank you Rowan for your review. We were limited in our coverage of Fairlight because the tutorial conformed with the Black Magic Design Certification course. We will have more tutorials coming in the future covering Fairlight at a more intermediate level. – Thank you, Jill Martin

Since Resolve is so complicated for us beginners, it was essential for me to obtain a tutorial and Ripple Training provides very good tutorials.
I tried another tutorial but it was really nowhere near as clear and thorough as Ripple Training provides. Very grateful that I found it online!

It’s a good overview of the overall workflow in DR14. Concise, inventive, to the point. Frankly, I was a little underwhelmed by the section dedicated to Fairlight, which is obviously the biggest addition to DR14. Just two short videos on Fairlight which mainly focused on media preparation. I’m looking forward to a more thorough exploration of the Fairlight page. Otherwise it’s a very well-rounded and solid course, esp. for people new to DaVinci Resolve.

This Training is a very good resource to get started with DaVinci Resolve 14. Spencer Meyer did a good job for me, because I am a german (learning english in school 20 years ago) and need a speaker with clear pronunciation. It would have been nice if the audio-section was more detailed, but this does not detract from the Course.
Now I´m waiting for a similar Course on fusion 9!

I have been wanting to learn more about video editing and I decided to go with Ripple Training as they were one of the first on the market to have a Resolve 14 tutorial out. I have used other subscription based websites that are good, but I have to say, not once during this training did I get tired. At multiple times during the tutorial I was wanting to jump with excitement from the things that I was learning. I finished this tutorial in 2 days and I love that I have permanent access to look at it again in the future if I need to. Thank you for the tutorial and hard work put into it, the money it cost was well worth the knowledge!

Just thought I’d drop you a line about my recent Resolve 14 tutorial purchase. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been working my way through it and it really is very good. I particularly enjoy the ‘straight to the point’ style of presentation – which I can tell you is really appreciated after playing a clip for the umpteenth time.
    Excellent value. Well done.
